Been busy writing on my Hippyhome Adventure blog so have not written on this one for some time.

I was thinking the other day though in regards to healing that with being in nature healing does  not get any better.

Looking back at some of our trip pictures we spent a lot of time with the trees, the stars, the lakes and God`s creatures. I had my smart phone and lap top with us but did not use them all that much. It was nice just to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

One spot comes to mind the most. We were at Caliper Lake in North Western Ontario. Anne add I had been sitting around the fire. She had enough and went in and I stayed out for awhile. The site where we were  had all kind of huge pine trees, big rocks scattered about and the lake in the background. I looked up and even though these trees were well spaced on the ground, way up high their branches formed a canopy over my head and I felt like I was being watched over. I had read that the First Nations people think of the trees as the " standing people". Last year when we had a strong wind storm in Calgary quite a few big trees were brought down and the greenhouse people were saying that when you plant pine trees , plant at least three together as they join their root systems to help them weather the storms. Here I was a Caliper surrounded by the " standing people" all in community and covering me below them. Something like being wrapped in someones embrace. Sitting there chilling, looking up I could also see the stars blinking back down at me. This beats technology any day. I must have stayed out for another 45 minutes just enjoying nature.

I think that when thinks get too hectic in our big city , go for a drive to the mountains or to the Bow and get out and walk amongst God`s creations. It is truly relaxing. Watch the birds the squirrels or whatever and you will soon be grounded.

Take care of yourselves , life is short.

Well today I thought while chillin on the deck I would compose a post on my HTC smartphone. Ah technology. Problem is I could not get the keyboard to come up so here I am on the laptop.

Recently had the opportunity to do some healing pathways for a friend. We are not supposed to refer to them as clients  or patients so I like to think of them as friends whether they truely are or merely aquaintances. Along with my wife we used a technique called the Sacred Cross which in many cases puts the person on a higher spiritul vibe and and supposedly a connection with the divine. In our courses they told us to fake it till you make it. Just know that whether you think so or not you are doing good work. Well this time the person had an image of the crucified Christ so my first thought is oh wow, again another experience that should and is confirming my belief in this healing power. If you have never experienced this type of healing I would reall recommend it. It is very soothing.

Now speaking of soothing I brought up our little fountain that I plug in on the deck. Between it and the windchimes it helps to distract one from all the other noise pollution out there, power mowers, weed whackers the traffic from the busy streets like Country Hills Blvd. There was a show on tv the other year and they were doing the same kind of thing to balance out the other noises that we are bombarded with.

We all need time away from technology and the noises that it brings. I look forward to our first outing to the mountains in the rv where I can sit and listen to different more tolerable sounds, maybe a gray jay, someone chopping firewood, the sounds of tires on gravel and the wind in the pines.
I hope you all had a pleasant and recharging long weekend.

Started this in January then promptly forgot my password . Also did not know how to share but have been given the advice to email to friends and post on FB. Anne and I have been readying our rv for our great journey to S. Ontario this summer. I will use this to journal our experience along the way. Our first outing in the rv will be next weekend in the Kananaskis not too far from home in case we run into issues or have forgot something. I am currently reading a book called Out into the wild. It is a true story of a young man back in 92 with a great sense of adventure. Unfortunately he meets his demise in Alaska but he had written a letter to an acquaintance about getting out on the road and seeing all the great things that God has put out there for us to experience. I am hoping that Anne and I will experience a lot of nature and healing quiet on this trip.

Welocome to my blogs. This is all new to me so will see where this goes.  I am calling this healing ways because as life goes on I seem to get involved with more and more interesting ways to heal the body , mind and spirit. Some of the means that I use at the moment are facilitating community drum circles, working with Healing Pathways(healing touch) the power of prayer etc. I find hiking , biking and being outside with nature doing anything all very healing so these are some of the topics I will write on as I understand more about blogs. We have trust bought a small RV and so will add some travel expeeriences also
